Uses
Acidic Vaginal is used to restore the natural pH balance of the vagina.
Storage
- Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light.
Overdose
- If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
- Acidic Vaginal may be harmful if swallowed.
How
To Use - Acidic Vaginal is for vaginal use only.
- Fill the applicator provided with the medication.
- Insert the applicator high into the vagina and press the plunger to release the medication.
- Clean the applicator with warm soapy water and rinse well.
- A detailed instruction sheet should be provided with the medication.
- Review the instructions and be sure to ask your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions.
- Use Acidic Vaginal as prescribed, usually once in the morning and in the evening.
Side
Effects - Acidic Vaginal is usually well tolerated.
- Notify your doctor if you develop: vaginal itching or burning, a vaginal yeast infection.
- If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Precautions
- Tell your doctor if you have any pre-existing conditions, such as: illness, any allergies.
- Acidic Vaginal should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy.
- Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
- It is not known if Acidic Vaginal appears in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Missed
Dose - If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
- Do not double-up the dose to catch up.
Drug
Interactions - Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take.
- Avoid the use of any vaginal douches while taking Acidic Vaginal unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
- Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
