Uses
This medication is used to treat constipation. Notes
- Do not share this medication with others.
- To prevent constipation drink 4 to 6 glasses of water daily, include bulk or roughage in your diet and exercise regularly.
Storage
- Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C) away from heat, light and moisture.

| How
To Use - HOW TO USE THIS MEDICATION: Unwrap suppository and moisten with lukewarm water.
- Lie down on your left side with the right knee bent (if left-handed, lie on the right side with the left knee bent).
- Push the suppository into the rectum with your finger.
- Do not use more of this medication than directed on the package label or by your doctor.
- Do not use for longer than 1 week unless directed by your doctor.
- Consult your doctor or pharmacist.
- Laxatives should only be used temporarily until normal bowel habits return.
- Prolonged use can lead to laxative dependence.
Side
Effects - Skin irritation or burning around the rectum may occur.
- If these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor.
- Very unlikely but report promptly blood in stools or persistent desire to empty the bowel or persistent diarrhea.
- If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Precautions
- Tell your doctor your medical history, including any allergies, undiagnosed stomach pain, nausea, or vomiting.
- This medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy.
- Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
- It is not known if glycerin suppositories are excreted into breast milk.
- Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Missed
Dose - Generally, this medication is only used "as needed".
- Consult your pharmacist for more information.
Drug
Interactions - Tell your doctor of all nonprescription and prescription medication you may use, especially of other laxatives.
- Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
