This medication is used to treat acne.
Notes
  • Do not share this medication with others.

Storage
  • Store at room temperature between 68 and 77 degrees F (20 to 25 degrees C) away from light and moisture.

How To Use
  • HOW TO USE THIS MEDICATION: Apply a thin layer to the affected area of the skin, generally twice daily, as directed.
  • Use only on the skin.
  • Avoid contact with the eyes.

Side Effects
  • Irritation, stinging or burning of the skin may occur.
  • If these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor promptly.
  • Unlikely but report promptly severe redness or scaling of the skin or muscle/joint aches.
  • In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention.
  • Symptoms of an allergic reaction include rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, unusual tiredness, yellowing of the skin or eyes, stomach pain, nausea, persistent fever or trouble breathing.
  • If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions
  • Tell your doctor your medical history, including any allergies (especially to other sulfa drugs such as sulfamethoxazole or to sulfites) or asthma.
  • Use of this medication for prolonged or repeated periods may result in a secondary infection (e.g., affecting the skin).
  • Consult your doctor or pharmacist.
  • This medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy.
  • Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
  • It is not known whether this drug is excreted into breast milk.
  • Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Missed Dose
  • If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember.
  • If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
  • Do not double the dose to catch up.

Drug Interactions
  • Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription medication you may use, especially other drugs you apply to the skin for this condition.
  • Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
