Uses
This medication stimulates the body's immune system to help treat and protect against illness. It is used in combination with other medications in the treatment of colon cancer.
Notes
  • This medication must be taken under close medical supervision.

How To Use
  • Take this medication exactly as prescribed.
  • Do not increase your dose or take it more often.
  • Your condition will not improve faster by taking more medication, but side effects will be increased.
  • This medication may be taken with food or milk to minimize nausea.

Side Effects
  • This medication causes nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, mouth sores, loss of appetite, stomach pain, change in taste and smell, muscle aches, fatigue, dizziness, headache and skin rash.
  • Notify your doctor if these symptoms become bothersome.
  • Notify your doctor if you develop any flu-like symptoms (fever, chills, weakness, sore throat) while taking this medication.
  • If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions
  • Avoid use of alcohol and alcohol containing products while taking this medication.
  • Severe stomach upset, flushing and headache can occur.
  • This drug is not recommended for use in pregnant or nursing women or in children.

Missed Dose
