Side Effects
Grogginess at first, but that has subsided. Throbbing pain in left shoulder blade that radiates through to the front. Dry mouth and eyes. Weightloss due to lack of appetite.

Additional Thoughts
I absolutely love Bentyl. However, it makes me sleepy so I only take it as needed, instead of the prescribed 4x a day. I will deal with most any side effects, because this medicine has stopped all of my burning searing gas pains and has given more substance to my diahrea. I have lost over 15 lbs in 2 weeks on this med.

Reason: Diagnosed with IBS D 7 years back and have been symptomatically worse over the past 6 months. Date: 20 June 2009
Side Effects
Aside from feeling a bit tired upon beginning the medication those symptoms have passed and am feeling like a whole new person.

Additional Thoughts
I was diagnosed IBS D 7+ years ago and was suffering from severe anxiety and diarrhea the past 6+ months and was really having a problem functioning in ANY normal capacity whatsoever. I ended up in the ER due to cramping and dehydration and the ER doctor prescribed Bentyl at 20MG 4x per day. I've got to tell you, it's been a blessing. No more worrying and a lot more living!
