Niaspan

Side Effects
Just spent a nasty night at the emergency room with a nose bleed that would not stop. This has been found to be one of the side effects of Niaspan. I am not going to continue taking it!!!

Additional Thoughts
Took 500 mg for several months and dr. recently increased it to 750 mg. That is when the nosebleeds started. Previously had several but not as bad as this last one. No one connected it to the Niaspan until my pharmacist said that could be a side effect.

nausea, a little and a lil dizzy if out in sun

Additional Thoughts
It DOES work quite well, but if one doesn't change their hygeine and diet, diseases will reoccur.

Side Effects
Blurry vision is the worse. I have also gained 25 lbs since starting this medication but can't really place the blame on it because I have also switched from metoprolol to virapamil at the same time.

Additional Thoughts
Tambocor (Flecainide) has stopped my AFib. I was having at least one major AFib event a week until I was put on Flecainide twice daily. Does it's job!

Side Effects
I've been off this drug for almost a month and still have major side effects. I only took it for 2 weeks. My feces is just like acid on my rectum burns beyond belief at the least 6 to 10 times a day. The only relief I get is by jumping into the shower and washing as fast as I can then the burning stops. So I've been taking many showers a day for weeks. Its the worst month I've spent in my life and its not over yet. I wish I could find out how long this will last. My Dr. said he has never heard of anything like that.

Side Effects
Hot and itchy around the infection site. Diffuculty sleeping, gassy, my wife thinks I've been eating someone else's cooking. I am feeling better and the infection is much better also, healing nicely.

Additional Thoughts
I hope I don't have to take this again, no body wants to be sick. but If I do I would. I prefer the temporary side effects to losing a limb.
